Unique and Unprecedented
D♻n't Waste Whisky
Wasting any resources is often unnecessary. With that thought in mind, we decided to bring all the remains of our whisky samples together in small casks. Right here in our office in Sassenheim. And create a one-of-a-kind blended malt whisky.
Sustainable & Limited
A unique whisky

Every year we receive samples of our 3.000+ casks maturing in Scotland. Our team of analysts use these samples to track the quality of the whisky and its development. The leftovers of these samples is put into smaller casks in our office in Sassenheim. Every once in a while we create a bespoke bottling out of these casks. One of these bottles is most likely now in your possession.
One-of-a-kind blended whisky
Every batch is crafted from Scotch single malt whiskies sourced from at least 40 different distilleries, drawn from over 1,000 casks ranging in age from 3 to 35 years, and is hand-numbered. The result is a carefully balanced blend with an average age of 18 years.
Tasting Notes
Batch 1 | 2024

About the casks
The whisky has been brought together in so-called firkins, a 55 liter cask, made of European oak and seasoned with sherry. For example, one of these casks was once used for the maturation of vintage 1987 Bowmore. The blend consists out of several single malt whiskies with an average age of 18 years. Produced by a variety of distilleries like Clynelish, Glen Keith, Glenburgie, Glentauchers, Macduff, Miltonduff and Speyside amongst others.
Nose & Taste
The nose is rich and aromatic with notes of walnut, teak, dried fig and Bastogne biscuit. On the palate fairly full, slightly sweet with a medium to full body, deeply layered with cocoa powder, fresh tobacco, leather and a very subtle hint of wood smoke. The finish is long and slightly mouth-drying in which the spicy elements become even more profound.
Overall Conclusion
A very mature and rich whisky with additional flavour characteristics of European oak.

Nose & Taste
The whisky presents a golden brown appearance, hinting at the depth within. On the nose, it reveals rich and deep aromas of tobacco leaf, bay leaf, and baked apple with cinnamon, complemented by notes of licorice, almonds, and candied sugar. The palate offers a medium-full mouthfeel that begins mildly sweet, gradually giving way to a subtle touch of black pepper and a hint of coal smoke. As the flavors unfold, roasted pecans, maple syrup, dark chocolate, stewed pears, plum jam, licorice, and teak oil come together in a harmonious blend. The finish is long, drying, and warming, with the smoky aroma and fresh tobacco becoming more prominent, adding depth and complexity to the overall experience.
Overall Conclusion
A rich, complex whisky that, despite its mouth-drying effect, remains beautifully balanced thanks to its intense and diverse flavor profile.

Nose & Taste
With a deep amber hue reminiscent of amontillado sherry, this whisky exudes warmth and refinement. On the nose, it reveals a rich, rounded, and aromatic bouquet: creamy coconut, freshly baked apple pie, soft pipe tobacco, and fig jam, enriched by notes of roasted nuts and sun-ripened oranges. The palate offers a full-bodied, powerful yet sweet opening. A subtle kick of black pepper intertwines with dried figs, plum tart, and stewed pears, blending into a harmonious flavour experience.
Overall Conclusion
A rich and intense whisky that invites slow enjoyment. Perfect for the moment – yet, with its layered character and ageing potential, equally ideal for a cold winter’s day by the fireplace.
