Meet The Distillery: Glenfarclas
Glenfarclas Whisky: Tradition and Craftsmanship in Every Bottle

Mastering Distillation
Glenfarclas’s copper stills, some of the largest in Speyside, are direct-fired to maximize copper contact. This traditional method enhances the smooth, rich flavors that define Glenfarclas Highland Single Malt.
The Secret of Sherry Casks
European oak sherry casks, sourced from the Miguel Martin cooperage in Spain, give Glenfarclas its signature notes of dried fruits and spice. These casks, hand-selected by John Grant himself, are integral to the distillery’s flavor profile.
Balancing Maturation
Glenfarclas skillfully blends maturation in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks to create complex single malts. Whiskies like the 12 Year Old showcase citrus and honey notes, while the 15 Year Old develops deeper complexity with prolonged sherry cask aging.
Carrying a Legacy Forward
Every Glenfarclas bottle is a testament to nearly two centuries of expertise. From the pure waters of Ben Rinnes to the meticulous cask selection, Glenfarclas continues to embody the best of Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
